Twitter is rolling out a new homepage for the platform's desktop users.
The new layout and design is meant to resemble the company's mobile versions, complete with each user's cover photo aligned behind his profile image to add a more visual element to the homepage. This already existed when users visited their profile pages, but the profile image existed alone on the homepage without a cover photo before Monday's update.
The New Design

The toolbar across the top is now white instead of black, and the font sizes beneath each user's image have grown larger.
The new homepage also allows users add more color to their pages. For example, users can change the color of features like the compose box and navigation icons, just as they used to change link colors in their feeds. This is possible under the "Design" tab within Settings.
Monday's homepage redesign comes about three months after Twitter redesigned the platform's login page ahead of its IPO in November. The new design began rolling out to desktop users Monday and should be available to everyone in the "coming days," according to a Twitter spokesperson.
